We are pleased to announce a significant enhancement to your golfing experience at Desert Springs Resort. We have recently integrated 35 state-of-the-art Tagmarshal GPS systems into our fleet of golf buggies on the Indiana Course. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to provide you with the best possible service and course management.

Additionally, for walking golfers we have invested in Tagmarshal Classic GPS Tags, which can be affixed to a player’s golf bag within each group.
Protecting Our Desert Landscape: Geofencing Now Active
One of the ongoing challenges on the Indiana Course has been the misuse of golf buggies in designated desert landscape and environmentally sensitive areas which has resulted in:
- Unsightly tyre marks and rutted surfaces that disrupt the natural desert terrain
- Damage to planting and erosion of carefully preserved areas
- A noticeable decline in the overall aesthetics and condition of the course
To address this, and as part of our recent investment in golf course technology, all desert areas of the Indiana Course have now been geofenced using the Tagmarshal GPS system.
What This Means for Players:
- Immediate Alerts: Should a buggy enter a restricted zone, the system will automatically trigger both a visual notification and an audible alert to the driver, instructing them to return to an approved area.
- Live Monitoring by Course Staff: All geofence breaches are instantly reported to course personnel in real time. This enables our team to monitor activity across the course and take appropriate action when needed.
- Direct Communication for Persistent Breaches: In cases of repeated or serious breaches, course staff have the capability to communicate directly with the buggy driver via the Tagmarshal system, reinforcing the message and ensuring compliance.
